2. Four representations (photographs or drawings) of the design or model on goods quality paper; size 33x21cm.

3. Legalized extract of the entry of the applicant company in the commercial register or a legalized copy of certificate of incorporation; which include the name, address, nationality, legal status and profession or nature of business of the applicant.

4. Certified copy of the priority document for a convention application.

5. Single registration can cover one designs only.

• All documents must be available within three months from the filing date.

Validity: According to the new Intellectual Property Law no. 82 of 2002 a design or an industrial model registration is valid for ten years starting from the date of filing regardless of priority date if claimed.

Annuities: are not required to be paid.

Period of protection can be extended for additional 5 years, after payment of renewal fees in the last year before expiration.

Validity of design filed before 2002: Any design that has been filed under the old law it is valid for 15 years from the date of application regardless of priority.

Annuities: are paid every five years; the first annuity is paid at time of filing.
