Design: South Africa

Design Requirements:

1. A power of attorney simply signed for each design

2. Details, possibly drawings, of the articles to which the design will be applied.

3. Priority and applicant information.

4.  Is priority being claimed?  If not the design applications must be filed within 6 months of the date on which the articles were first placed on the market (called the “release date”).  Please let us have all relevant information in this respect.

 Note:

that in South Africa a design is filed in a class (similar to a trade mark) in respect of specific goods.
