Patent Decree No. 47 for the year 1946.

Patent is valid for 15 years as of date of filing.

Patent National Application
Requirements: |

Power of attorney signed and stamped by the corporate seal of the company and
notarized before a notary public - can be filed within 2 months. (Power Form)
-
Deed of assignment duly legalized up to the Syrian Consulate. (Assignment form)
-
Three copies of specifications, claims and drawings in English and Arabic.
-
Certified copy of the priority document in case priority is to be claimed.

Syria has joined PCT as of June 2003.

PCT Application Requirements: |

In addition to the above we need:

Copy of International Application Form reflects the designation of Syria.

PCT Preliminary Examination Report.
-
International search report.
-
PCT publication.

Patent application should be used or licensed within two years from
the date of the grant. A nominal working notice published in a local
newspaper will serve to avoid any legal action to be taken before
courts.
No powers of attorney are required.

Payment of Patent Annuities: |
|
A renewal of patent must be paid before or at the anniversary date
of filing with grace period of 6 months after payment of penalty.
No powers of attorney are required for payment of annuity.
