Filing Requirements:

Trademarks: Barbados

Trademark Filing Requirements:

Simply signed power of attorney in black ink only (Power Form).
Six representations of the mark (if in color).
Details of the applicant.
Details of the mark.

Renewal Requirements:

Simply signed power of attorney (Power Form).
Statement indicating the use of mark during the preceding year.

Change of Name/ Address Requirements:

Official document certifying change of name.

Assignments:

Simply signed power of attorney by the Assignee in black ink only (Power Form).
Certified copy of the Assignment.
Deed of assignment should recite a minimum of US$10.00 or US$100.00 consideration.
There is no stipulated time limit by Law and the recordal of the Assignment can take place without any penalty even if the assignment occurred several years ago.
There are no taxes or stamp duty payable, with or without Goodwill, pending application may be assigned, unregistered marks may not be assigned.

Searches:

Method of search: conducted manually.
Contents: search report includes information of prior marks hit by the search and comments on similarity between the subject mark and each relevant prior mark.
Other: Necessity of use search on prior marks should be judged case by case.
