Filing Requirements:

Trademarks: Belarus

  Trademark/ Service Mark Requirements:

  1. Simply signed power of attorney (Power Form).

  2. Ten prints of the mark.

  3. List of goods/services.

  4. Details of the applicant.

  5. Certified copy of the priority document in case convention priority is to claimed.

 

  Renewal Requirements:

 

  Change of Name/ Address Requirements:

  1. Simply signed power of attorney under new name (Power Form).

  2. Official document certifying change of name.

 

  Assignment Requirements:

  1. Power of attorney signed by the assignee (Power Form).

  2. Deed of assignment signed by both parties.

  3. No consideration provisions, no tax implication, no stamp duty.

  4. With or without Goodwill, pending application and unregistered marks may not be assigned.

 

General Information:

Claiming priority under Paris Convention: Yes.

 

Filing international registration under Madrid Agreement: No.

 

Filing international registration under Madrid Protocol: No.

 

Registration duration: 10 years from the date of application.

 

Renewal duration: 10 years.

Time until issuance of registration: 12 months.

 

Opposition period: There is no opposition stage.

 

Renewal Application: Within 6 months before expiry.
