Filing Requirements:

Trademarks: Cyprus (Greek)


  Trademark/ Service Mark Requirements:

  1. Simply signed power of attorney. (Power Form)

  2. Nine prints of the trademark, if in color. If black and white, one print is sufficient.

 

  Renewal Requirements:

 

  Change of Name / Address Requirements:

  1. Power of attorney simply signed under new name. (Power Form)

  2. Official document certifying change of name.

 

  Assignment Requirements:

  1. Assignment document signed by both parties under hand and notarized.

  2. Power of attorney, signed by the Assignee. (Power Form)

  3. Nominal consideration , with or without Goodwill.

  4. Pending Applications may not be assigned.

  5. Unregistered marks may be assigned.

 

General Information:

Classification: International, single-class filing.

 

Registrable: Trademarks, service marks.

 

Time from filing to registration: 2 years.

 

Registration Duration: 7 years from filing date.

 

Renewal Duration: 14 years.

 

Opposition Period: 2 months.

 

Use: Non-use for a period of 5 years makes a registration vulnerable to cancellation, it is possible to file an intent-to-use application in Cyprus.
