Filing Requirements:

Trademarks: Thailand

Trademark/ Service Mark Requirements:

Power of attorney notarized. (Power Form)
Twenty five specimens of the mark.
Certified copy of the priority document if claimed.

Renewal of Trademark/ Service Mark Registrations:

Power of attorney notarized. (Power Form)

Change of Name/ Address Requirements:

Notarized power of attorney under new name. (Power Form)
Notarized corporate affidavit.

Assignment Requirements:

Assignment document legalized. (Assignment Form)
Nominal consideration is acceptable, no stamp duty, taxes payable; personal income tax, corporate tax, value added tax.
With or without Goodwill, pending applications may be assigned.
Unregistered marks may be assigned provided it is with Goodwill.

General Information:

Classification: International classification, while application covers one item of list of goods, additional fees for each additional word are to be paid, under the same class.

Claiming priority under Paris Convention: No.

Registrable: Trademarks, service marks, certification marks, collective marks.

Time from filing to registration: 12 months.

Registration Duration: 10 years from filing date.

Publication: Before registration, in the Trademark Gazette.

Opposition Period: 3 months.
