2.  10 prints of trademark/service mark (8 cm x 8 cm) in case the trademark/service mark is a word mark in standard characters, prints are not necessary.

3.  Designated goods/services.

4.  Certified copy of the basic application, if convention priority is to be claimed Application No., application date & country.

Time from filing to registration :  18-24 months.

Registration Duration :  10 years from filing date.

Renewal Duration : 10 years.

Publication : Examination and registration prior to publication. Publication in the Official Trade Mark Gazette.

Opposition Period :  Within 2 months following publication of the application.

Use : Non-use for 3 years following registration makes the registration vulnerable to cancellation, it is possible to file an intent-to-use application in Japan.

Renewal Application: Withen 6 months before expiry.
